about 100kids100quid

100KIDS100QUID is a chance to be a world citizen and defender of children’s rights. By raising £100 together with 100 other children, you will be part of helping other children who are not having their rights met.

It is an educational opportunity for children to fundraise, learn about being a world citizen, and use their talents to make the lives of other children better!

By participating children will learn more about child poverty and defending the rights of children around the world. It is also a chance to use their unique skills, so they can understand that we all have something we can give.

“We believe in a world where all children can thrive and all can be leaders in their communities”Pamoja Leo, 2015

Who we are & how we work

“You can judge a society by the way it treats its children”Nelson Mandela

We believe that in order for children to be the incredible people they can be, they need to be supported, listened to and provided opportunities!

We work to maximise the potential inside every child so that they can be a positive and strong force of change in their community. We strive to ensure that children are heard, recognised and are allowed to grow in safe and happy environments. The sad truth is, poverty is a strong force that can disrupt these things from happening. That’s why we feel it takes a targeted and wider community effort to ensure a better world for all children living in poverty. We work to promote resiliency, leadership and entrepreneurship as skills that will carry children far into adulthood.

Children are the best ones to make a difference in other children’s lives because they understand what it is like to be a child themselves.

WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE MONEY?

We are run a Children’s support Center to serve Orphans and the most vulnerable kids in Tanga City. Your money will help us to help families start businesses, run a free daycare and after school program, run leadership and Changemaker clubs in Schools, protect children who have been hurt, provide training so communities can better support their children, run a mobile library, gardening program and so much more!

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE AN ACTIVE GLOBAL CITIZEN?

Every child on this planet has the same rights. All children have a voice, talents and skills that they can use to help others. When we are an active global citizen it means we stand up for those that do not have what they need.

If more people could look to the example of children, who give their all to the benefit of others, the world would be a better and kinder place for all. When we use our voice and actions for others we create a better world for all children.
